An analytical solution is presented of the problem to calculate non-stationary temperature fields in a multi-layer wall of a heat exchange apparatus under the third kind conditions at boundary surfaces, the first and second kind conditions at ends and under splice conditions in a general form. The dependence of the mode and heat-physics characteristics on time and coordinates is taken into account. A modification of the Bubnov-Galerkin method is applied in the solution. As basis functions, combinations of polynomials of coordinates and trigonometric functions of time are used which satisfy (with arbitrary constants) all boundary conditions. Examples of the temperature distribution calculations are given for the heat exchanger with a helical bulkhead and for blades of high-temperature gas turbines.
