A new trend in technology of the gas-thermal coating is discussed - the microplazma coating which allows to overcome some problems inherent to the traditional plasma coating. A possibility to implement coating by plazmatrons with a power up to 2-2.5 kWt is shown with entering the powder material at the initial part of arc. A simplified mathematical simulation of dynamics of heating the powder materials in the technological microplazmatron is presented allowing to evaluate technological modes of various materials coating. Numerical results for the given simulation are discussed.
