It is shown on the basis of research results that the liquation processes strongly influence on structure of the areas heated up to the temperature range "solidus-liquidus" on treatment the iron-carbon alloy surfaces by СО2-laser. Depending on liquation influence on the structure character and microhardness the various modes of laser treatment for steels and cast irons of different classes are recommended.
