A model problem on extending an elastic element, connected with a base by means of pliable movable supports, into the plane-parallel flow of incompressible medium is considered. The direct numerical modeling of the transient mode is conducted. A method of vortex elements is used for calculation of unsteady hydrodynamical loads. Results obtained for various design schemes are compared.
