The mathematical model is considered which allows one to determine the radiation and energy characteristics of the concentrator-receiver system. Particular attention is given to simulation of radiation heat exchange using Monte-Carlo methods and taking into account defects of the reflecting surface. This is of special interest when designing the mirror concentrating systems and receivers for both ground- and space-based high-temperature solar-energy plants.
