Passive and active methods for control of parameters of the base-region flow are studied. Results of physical and mathematical simulation of flow past the flying vehicle with consideration for the surface punching for the base-region flow stabilization (M < 1), change in the afterbody configuration and energy supply into the near wake (M > 1) are given.
