A versatile differential microwave method is developed for measuring velocity of solid rocket fuel combustion in transient operational modes of the solid rocket motor. The method is based on using four probes and allows one to determine both stationary and non-stationary combustion velocities for wide class fuels including those that have high dielectric losses.
