General regularities of chip forming and the formation of a processed surface in cutting of the polymeric composite materials, based on the continuous and discrete glass-, carbon-, boron-, and organic fibers, are considered. Ideas about micromechanics of deformation and destruction of the filler fibers in azone of chip forming are given. The connection of the material structure, its physicomechanical properties and conditions of chip forming with the quality of the processed surface is shown.
