Selection of crankshaft press rigidity for closed-die cold forging

The research results of crankshaft press overloading under closed-die cold forging of low workpieces are stated. An influence of the press rigidity on its overloading is found to be dependent on the volume of natural compensator that are blank corners. Increase of the compensator volume and press rigidity leads to decreasing the error of the workpiece height caused by the workpiece volume error, resulting in the reduction of overloading.
