Development of Method of Determination of Working Profiles of Mill-Rollers. Part I. Theoretical Bases

Theoretical bases of the method are developed. A formula for determining a working profile of rollers is derived which supposes that the profile and its components can be approximated by a quadratic parabola with a satisfactory accuracy. The formula is convenient for analysis of influence of practically all factors on both the roller profile and the cross different-width property with the specified profiling of rollers.
