It is shown that the increase of rigidity of the crank press-stamp system by choosing the more rigid press is accompanied with the increase of influence of error of setting-up of the closed press height upon the error of the vertical size of forgings. As a result, a span of oscillations of the force of the forging resistance to deformation increases, decreasing the press loading corresponding to its nominal power.
