Technique for Estimation and Selection of Tool System Type for Multi-Purpose Machine-Tools

A technique is given allowing to estimate and select from the scientific and practical point of view relationships for cutting and auxiliary tools, used in multi-purpose machine-tools, as well as for various modules (base, transition, extension and end ones), used in a modular tool system. The technical and economic calculations are presented and the expediency of selection of a modular or one-piece tool system.
