Heat Treatment of Corrosion-resistant Steel for Manufacturing Force-metering Elastic Elements

Martensite-ageing chrome nickel steels are classified among advanced materials for manufacturing force-metering elements. Results of mechanical and corrosion tests are given along with the data of the roentgen structural analysis of "ЭП 817" steel after the hardening and ageing at various temperatures. The conducted studies allow one to select a mode of the heat-hardening taking into account the special exploitation properties of the tested products and substantiate the necessity of the following mechanical treatment for increasing the corrosion resistance.
