Results are given of theoretical and experimental studies of high-temperature plasma converters based on semi-self-maintained arc in caesium (barium) vapour to control current in electric circuits. Electrical and thermal parameters, weight and power consumption characteristics of the converters are presented. Computational dependencies are offered for the converters design.
