The fuel injection pressure influence on the economic and ecological characteristics of motor and tractor engines is presented. The calculating research results of the fuel injection apparatus basic characteristics and its operational conditions influence on maximal injection pressure value, are given. It is shown that the most important parameter is the plunger diameter of the fuel injection pump.
