Estimation of Validity of Measuring Temperature of High Speed Gas Flows Using Thermocouple Sensors

Results of estimation of validity of measuring temperature of the high speed gas flow using thermocouples with the closed junction are given. The finite element method calculation results are estimated. The numerical estimation of the contribution of basic components of the error caused by the gas speed, heat removal and radiation is calculated. A technique is offered which allows one to determine the gas temperature with the help of thermocouples having protective cover.
