A system of differential equations is presented to design mixing heat exchange units. New experimental data on heat transfer in mixing heat exchangers and empirical relationships for the droplet heat withdrawal factor are obtained. Design and experimental profiles of droplet and gas velocity and temperature along the heat exchanger length are compared.
